This week was FUN and super busy because…

1. We are gearing up to raise our second round of capital at Hummingbirds. I’m not going to hype it too much because we have a really incredible lineup of investor calls and intros happening due to the traction we’ve created this year and because we have investors opening doors for us. Here we gooooo!

2. I had my first facial in probably I don’t know, three years? I went to FACE FOUNDRIÉ, which is one of our customers at Hummingbirds who opened a few months ago in WDM. The service was truly amazing, I added on gua sha and was delighted by that so much that I bought one to use at home. It was a gifted experience which was super thoughtful and I am excited to go back in a few months as a paying customer. ☺️

3. We went to Rail Explorers in Boone on Tuesday and it was such a unique experience. I got a dozen or so DMs with questions about the experience… was it scary? Is it kid-friendly? What should we know before we go? I pulled together this quick post because it’s all super fresh in my mind and I am here to set you up for success my friends.

4. Last Friday night I tried Proudfoot & Bird for the first time and it was incredible. My girlfriends and I shared sides and plates which was a true Enneagram 7’s dream. Everything was incredible. And then on Thursday morning I went to Hobnob and got their breakfast sandwich which I obviously added to the Best Breakfast Sandwiches in Des Moines list because you know I live for a good list. Everything about Hotel Fort Des Moines makes me happy.

5. To all of my fellow marketing pals, I have been pouring over this amazing newsletter from MTK1. I upgraded my subscription almost instantly. Such a great resource for early-stage startups. Please pass along or go in depth with me so we can nerd out together.
