Anyone else feeling the joy that is fall temps? My spirit is lifted.

1. We selected the finalists for Flourish. I personally have nothing to do with the selection but I did review all the applications and there are some pretty epic ideas and people making things happen in and for our city. Once finalists are announced, the magic starts to happen!!! Hope you got a ticket + tee for the event.

2. Z was out of town Labor Day weekend so we hunkered down at the Boyd’s (my fam) with our cousin Max and my SIL Olivia, and did some fun Ankeny things like visit Cookies & Dreams, the farmers market, Imagination Street, and West Forty Market.

3. Back in 2020, I started this thing called Local Business School, something I was excited to bring to market as every course/program out there is geared to small businesses, but locally-based brands focused on acquiring + retaining mostly local customers need different strategies.

To impact more lives, I started partnering with Greater Des Moines Partnership and they’re offering the program this fall! I get to teach a class on nailing your pitch and then be the coach for students who are looking for local marketing advice and support. If you need a marketing refresh or want to tap into some incredible people’s expertise, this program will be incredible for you!

4. When MARNē brings dresses into the shop and when they’re in my Autumn colors… I buy. 🤩

5. I keep coming back to this post this week.
