I spent the majority of the week in planning / strategy / presentation types of meetings on Zoom and eager to get back doing creative things. Spending the weekend packing for Texas.

1. I started physical therapy a couple weeks ago and I’m so dang proud of myself for listening to my intuition. Something felt off with my abdominal muscles and I have diastatis recti. Just some minor abdominal separation, super common with pregnancy but I really wanted guidance on how to correct. Alex at Core Physical Therapy has been absolutely fabulous.

2. I don’t know who needs to hear this today, but Lucca for lunch is always a great answer. Their tuna sandwich is unreal.

Speaking of food, which I’m happy to always do, I am very excited to get back to building this breakfast sandwich list. Trying to find a reason to get back to Hob Nob for what is my absolute favorite one so far. Will also be at the first Saturday of the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market.

On your way down to the market, suggest getting a cortado at Northern Vessel and sitting in their window sill.

3. Fight for Air Climb was last weekend and it was another incredible event to support my MIL who has lung cancer. Get it on your radar for next year! I’m going to finally do it. Just need to get childcare plans set up well in advance this year.

4. Lincoln took his first steps!!! He hasn’t fully committed to walking but we are on our way. Fourteen months with our little guy, gosh he’s great.

5. You all made me feel fly when I posted this so I just wanted to say thank you and then have an excuse to post it again in case you missed this ON BRAND bomber jacket. 😮‍💨
